Although contemporary society believes in change and progress, the historical evidence shows that nothing changes but rather stands still just like the time, which determines it. While progress is technologically justified, the greatest value of all beings – the ability to love – is neglected. Our corporal temporality is our greatest potential for change, since the sooner we realise how transient we are the sooner we will turn passivity into activity

Gabrijel Savić Ra (1978) studied philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. He is the curator of the V.I.P Art Gallery, Circus Gallery and Art@Art Gallery of the Belgrade Student Cultural Centre. As an artist he has exhibited and performed in Belgium (Atelier Momas; 2006), Spain (MX ESPAI, 2005; Loop; 2005; Zemos98, 2005), SAD (Pasadena Museum of California Art, 2007; Artists' Television Access, 2007; Altered Aesthetics Gallery, 2007), UK (six events, 2008; Act Art, 2007; Changing Room Gallery, 2005), Canada (Smoke Gallery, 2007, 2005; Rencontre Internationale D’Art Performance De Quebec, 2006), Croatia (FONA, 2006), Slovenia (Terminal00, 2006), Norway (Landmark Kunsthall, 2007), Greece (II Athens Video Festival, 2006), Cyprus (Independent Museum of Contemporary Art, 2006), Romania (H.Arta, 2003), Macedonia (Youth Cultural Centre, 2006) and Serbia (Biennial of Extended Media, 2007; the ‘Zlatno Oko’ Gallery, 2007; Museum of Contemporary Art, 2006; INFANT, 2007; BELEF, 2003, 2004, 2005; IMAF, 2005; 2006; 2007; Ozon Gallery, 2005; Artget Gallery, 2005, Night of Museums, 2005; April Meetings, 2004; 2005, 2006; 2007, 2008; Vršac Biennial, 2002). Gabrijel Savić Ra has authored a number of texts on the theory of art as well as two collections of poetry: ‘Moć palog andjela’ (The Power of the Fallen Angel) (2002) and ‘Poslednji ljubavnici’ (Last Lovers) (2002). He has released two music albums, while the third one is in preparation.
