The production shifts between different worlds and spaces in a way that creates a fascinating and inventive result. The production studies power and its use and the search for and breaking of identity. The absurd settings deliver a spontaneous humour and warmth to the play. The surprising solutions and intensive expression on stage create a grotesquely beautiful language that transmits something essential of the secrets of human existence.
The production is a demanding and interesting display of physical theater, experimental modern dance, theatrical masks and mimicry. Different objects and simplified costumes are used in the production in a symbolic way.
Inspirations by Rodin
It was an outstanding conception to relocate scenic dance performances to streets and squares. ... Dancers had portrayed the spirit of Paris by inspirations on the leading figure of modern sculpture, the big French master, Auguste Rodin (1840–1917). ... The expressive impressions of the muscles were represented in an unbelievably gentle way by solo and group episodes, approving that human body can mediate passionate feelings and the state of our soul. A huge crowd gathered around the dancers as they totally fascinated the passer-by who has never had this experience before.
