Katsura Kan's workshop centres on the idea of communication between yourself and your tradition. Butoh, Kan believes, is capable of break through our conscious barrier and reaching our precognitive identity, which we all hold deep within us. The body is a time ship to carry your ancestorical soul from the past to the future who has been wearing a costume called Tradition. Kan will guide you on the way to find your costume through a silent walk, create rhythmic patterns in the stillness and identify the quality of movement with non-human movement. |
