"People
buy what they want, not what they need. You can persuade them from here to Saturday
that they need what you are offering, but there is absolutely no way in the world
to get them to buy it if they don't want it. You can be certain your audience
is always interested in a better value for price. At all times, your audience
is trying hard not to make a purchase error. They've made at least one in the
past and they don1t want to make another. Perhaps your audience wants selection,
the bigger the better. Be assured that your audience most certanly wants to know
that others in the community have purchased what you want them to purchase. One
thing you can be sure of is that every audience want is convenience. They want
it to be easy to buy from you, easy to find you, easy to park, easy to find what
they want, easy to pay. They want free delivery and installation. They want to
know for sure what they are buying, and it better be guaranteed. Once you've found
out what your audience wants, you can more easily achieve the goal of viewer involvement.
If they're involved with your message, there's good a chance they'll become a
paying costumer." (Jay Conrad Levinson, Guerrilla Advertising / Learning
