Performance entitled WIND IS PASSING TROUGH ME explores human behaviour in period in which the moves of individuals, media and tradition significantly influenced the lives of individuals. It poses a question of humanism in contemporary world of communications and modern systems trough simple visual symbolic and contemporary dance expression. Interaction of these materials formed new multimedial and multicultural picture in which movement speaks new language, until video projections speak the language of media at the same time. Live physical expression,
sharp and suggestive movements inspired by heritage of Balkans, attractive
costumes, strong and suggestive music with special sound processing are
main characteristics of this show. |
ERGstatus Dance Theatre ERGstatus is a contemporary dance project founded in June 1998. in Belgrade. Trough the international seminars, lectures and workshops this project formed a general basis for introducing contemporary dance techniques to young and talented dancers form Yugoslav territory. During 1999 ERGstatus formed two dance groups (one for adolescents and the other for adults). The main purpose of their work is to form a solid basis for recognizable style of Yugoslav contemporary dance in terms of European scene. Until now both ERGstatus troupes participated on several international and home festivals and worked with few foreign troupes and artists on common projects (USA, Holland, Germany, Poland, Israel, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia). At the Festival of choreographic miniatures in May 2000 Troupe of contemporary dance won third price and certificate of UBUS – (Udruzenje baletskih umetnika Srbije). Manager and choreographer of ERGstatus project is Boris Caksiran. Composer Vedran Vucic, manager of Electronic Music Foundation for Eastern Europe, also has a great influence concerning artistic sensibility in this project, as well as Janet Forrest, dance pedagogue of ERGstatus troupe. |
